Through research and innovativeness Artcom Enterprise seeks to provide building materials to be used in interior design, furniture making and construction at large using macadamia shells due to the shell hard and brittle nature. It has fracture toughness similar to those of common ceramics, hard woods and glass. Over the years, macadamia shell constitutes common solid waste especially in
the developing parts of this world. The utilization of macadamia shells will promote waste management at little cost, reduce pollution by this waste and increase the economic base of the farmer when such waste is sold thereby encouraging more production. The shells are most preferred since: It is cheaper in cost of acquiring the material as it is considered waste among others.
