Dignify Her – Let’s preserve girls’ dignity during their menstrual cycle!

We recycle textile waste to produce affordable, hygienic, and environmentally-friendly reusable sanitary pads for free distribution to adolescent girls aged between 11 years and 19 years in Kenya towards the promotion of their Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights. Our Solution targets donors who want to help vulnerable and poor adolescent girls especially those who learn in or live near their alma mater as a way of giving back to their community. We use a multiplatform digital technology called “Dignify Her” App to support the distribution of the reusable sanitary pads. The “Dignify Her” App is integrated with a text-based ChatBot that is accessible and easy to use for disseminating awareness-raising programs that educate girls about their bodies, sexuality, and reproductive health, as well as their rights to make informed choices about their own health and well-being; mentorship programs, life skills training, and opportunities to participate in decision-making processes within their communities; information about the nearest SRHR services such as contraception, counselling, and care for sexually transmitted infections; and economic empowerment training including circular economy, environmental preservation, and climate action that target their parents and communities to become self-reliant and make better life decisions.
