Padded mailers that constitute of Kraft paper lined with bubble wrap remains a market favourite derivative especially for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and other e-commerce businesses to package and ship products. These use bubble wrap which remains a ubiquitous product in the packaging industry. Despite its effects on the environment, it still remains widely used in product packaging because of various qualities providing protection and safety to the products during transit.

Another item, that is inevitably present in every single household is a kitchen sponge. Despite the awareness against using plastic sponges, majority of households still use a plastic one for their daily use. These sponges not only are non-biodegradable but also release small micro-plastics in the environment each time its used. These micro-plastics are too minuscule to be filtered out in water treatment plants and directly end up in our water streams. CocoPack aims to bring a revolution by replacing these plastic sponges to coconut coir ones by using them as a product that replaces bubble wrap within the Kraft Paper padded mailer.

Imagine this, you received your vitamins in a padded mailer made from 100% recycled Kraft paper sourced from FSC certified forests padded with coconut coir scrub. Once the packaging serves its purpose, the padding can be easily removed and can be cut to be used as a sponge in your kitchen. The mailer, on the other hand, can be re-used or directly sent to recycling. This is the overarching vision with CocoPack.
