Flowe craft products encourage a re-evaluation of traditional crafts – wickerwork as well as the use of local and sustainable materials such as willow, corn husk, and rye straw.

All products from the Flowe Craft collection are based on principles of the circular economy.

• Use of 100% agricultural waste, the by-product of a cash crop (corn husk & rye straw)
• Use of renewable resources (willow)
• Supporting biodiversity (when using indigenous Slovenian (non-GM) maize variety for wickerwork and when making packaging out of non-bleached paper from invasive plant spices)
• 100% compostable wicker
• Local ethical supply chain

All the products are made, one at a time, entirely by hand by dedicated craftspeople in Slovenia, who specialize in particular local materials and techniques.  They are high-quality products, beautifully made, with very high attention to detail. These skills were, until recently, passed on as cultural heritage, but are rapidly being lost. The aim of this project is to transfer knowledge and preserve traditional craft techniques and at the same time offer sustainable products.
