Nowadays, when people renovate their homes, most of the existing furniture ends up as bulky waste. Abandoned lamps and furniture that are not seen as functional or desirable anymore are destroyed in the waste management centers even though majority could still be used.

Main goal of the project is to prolong the lifespan of existing products by turning them into circular objects.

Jugošik recognizes their potential and introduces an innovative circular design approach. Whole objects cannot always be saved and reused. By taking them apart, a library of still useful elements is created. Materials that would have been otherwise thrown away become an inspiration and our main source material. 

New designs are made combining different parts from the library, searching for functional and elegant solutions. Jugošik products are made in collaboration with local craftsmen therefore they can be easily maintained or adjusted.

Furniture made of nostalgic elements are more likely to be passed forward, sparking sentimental feelings of the next generation and reframing a relationship between consumer and a product.
