‘Nature by Night’ is a lamp that grows with nature, draws its energy from it and encourages its user to take action. The lamp fits around any tree and grows with the trunk. As a result, nature is not hindered. The lamp catches the eye and attracts your attention, just like the accompanying ‘Fruit Battery’. A battery that you pick from the tree like a piece of fruit.

This design uses nature not only as a source of inspiration, or as a source material, as with most wooden furniture, but as a living part of the product. The spiral shape of the lighting is inspired by the old telephone cable. By combining this shape with modern LED technology, a lamp has been created that is both elastic and dimensionally stable.
The technology and engineering incorporated into these prototypes were invented in-house to test and prove the concept. In this way we are already creating more space and awareness for nature, in our own living environment.
