Certified by PETA and Material ConneXion, PEEL Lab is a B2B GreenTech manufacturing pineapple leather from leftover leaves.
Our vision is to replace 1% of the global animal and synthetic leather by 2040. Further, our mission is to upcycle food loss, prevent animal cruelty and reduce carbon footprint for a sustainable circular economy.
In 2022, we have upcycled around 200 kg of pineapple leaves to manufacture over 800 meters of leather and reduced 1,500 kg of CO2 emissions. Our top customers include Red Bull in Thailand, Lexus in Japan, and St. Regis and InterContinental Hotels in Asia.
In 2023, we will upcycle other raw materials such as coconut husk and sugarcane leaves in Southeast Asia. We also look to expand our market footprint to Europe and the Middle East.
Lastly, PEEL Lab will step up our collaboration with students on various themes related to climate action, entrepreneurship and inter-cultural leadership to create a community for learning and sharing.
