Why did we create PRIMAL Soles?

Because we believe that everybody deserves to move with comfort.

PRIMAL Soles are our Planet’s first 100% recyclable, circular and sustainable shoe insoles. Designed to combine maximum comfort with minimal footprint. Handcrafted from natural Mediterranean cork in Portugal. Extremely light, impact resistant, moisture wicking, thermal regulating, anti-bacterial and super comfortable.

At the same time, there is a rising focus on personal health and movement related benefits as populations start suffering from the consequences of inactivity. Combine this development with the wave of awareness for environmental health – and it becomes clear that we need to make walking more comfortable.

But how do we make walking more comfortable without harming the Planet?

By reverse-engineering the shoe, we narrowed in on one single, removable item to improve comfort with every step. Without harming the Planet.

• Our purpose is to make the most comfortable, natural and recyclable shoe insoles easily accessible for everyone.
• Our mission is to reduce the hundreds of millions of synthetic, non-recyclable shoe insoles that end up on our landfill waste every year. We will do this by offering a 100% recyclable alternative.
• Our vision is to set an example for producers and consumers to take responsibility for the full product life cycle. To do better. To be better. For our Planet – and for our future generations.
