Project site Tuzla is located in Istanbul/TURKEY. Tuzla shipyard area is known for its industrial functions as well as the lake that is located near it. This project area has been an intersection point for valuable lake, shipyards, greenhouses, and residenst. The agricultural value that comes from greenhouses and wetlands, the richness of materials for reuse and recycle is the focus of this project. The aim of this project is to create a sustainable area that functions inside this area.
The site has a circular system that is for economy, social interactions, and waste. The main program, that is the facilities has a continuous system that starts from greenhouses. The waste from greenhouses are collected and distributed to compost and energy facilities. The energy makes the power for facilities to works and the compost is sold to the farmers from cooperative shop. The products are also exhibited in farmers market which helps the economy of this site. The social system is in a circular direction that creates many different interactions.
