Concrete elements made from waste materials from construction industry, just as functional and attractive with environmental contribution

Long description

At en.concreto we currently design and manufacture functional concrete elements of all scales. We generally do it from new material, which makes less sense every day. We live in a city with a very high rate of new construction and with a very high waste generation. We have several protected natural areas, which continue to be affected by ending up as recipients of garbage and waste. Therefore, it seems logical and very necessary for us to seriously start working hand by hand with the construction industry and some related industries to lessen the effects on the environment in our immediate surroundings. The idea is to serve as a rubble collection center, to process it through crushing and finally incorporate it as raw material to manufacture different proposals, mainly urban furniture due to the relationship it has with the environment, public space and its possibility of being a environmental education vehicle for users.

We have made progress on a small scale, testing the resistance and appearance of the material. We are convinced that it has a lot of potential, especially since the elements we design and manufacture are functional but do not usually have a structural commitment. We put them ourselves to guarantee the durability of our products but we do not find conditions in the legislation that could hinder our process.

And finally, we have the approval of our market, who have been interested and happy with the appearance of the material, it is still beautiful and still attractive.
