Eliminating single use plastic through reusable, cleaned refill bags.
Long description
Our project aims to eliminate single-use plastic from the kitchen by introducing refill bags made from ocean, beach, and landfill waste. These bags are the first of their kind, designed to replace the single-use plastic used for dried groceries. Our bags are designed to be cleaned in a world-first, food-grade bag cleaning machine that promotes longevity and can be washed and used over and over again, completely eliminating the need for new plastic production. We are working with leading engineers to design the machine, as we learn more about our refill bags and their life cycle, to ensure we meet the goal of lifetime use over single use. Our bags are also lightweight and compact, with 15 bags fitting in one envelope, making it easy to return them to us via any mainstream postbox. By using our refill bags, customers can continue to eat local while also doing their part to clean up the planet. Our innovation is a game-changer in the fight against plastic pollution caused by groceries, and we are proud to be leading the way towards a more sustainable future.
