Removable soles for footwear

Glide was founded to end footwear throwaway culture. This innovation encourages society and trainer makers to increase the average time of owning trainers, before their soles wear away and end up in landfills.

Glide Soles are interchangeable soles that attach over the bottom half of your trainer. This does two things:

• Make your trainers last longer.
• Provide a unique look while keeping the credibility of the trainer you wear them with.

The reason I am so passionate about this project is the shock of finding out how overconsumed the trainer market is and how quickly they end up in landfills.

Coming from a background in product design and modern materials, as well as being a sneakerhead. I feel it would be irresponsible not to marry these together and promote footwear sustainability.
