‘Reuse the Overlooked: Waste Acrylic Fiber,’ aims to explore the potential of waste acrylic fibre as a material for small-scale production. Through experimentation and material study, I have developed a simple and efficient process for directly reusing waste acrylic fibre. My motivation for this project is to practice a material-driven mindset and to demonstrate the potential for waste acrylic fibre to be transformed into valuable products. As part of this project, I have also identified several potential product applications for this material. I believe the project aligns with the goals of a circular design guideline, as it aims to reduce waste and find creative solutions for repurposing materials.
