Farmers in semi-arid areas in Kenya suffer poor production due to unreliable rain patterns while Vegetable oil processors cannot meet their demand for oil seeds from local farmers.
We provide oil seed farmers with affordable solar irrigation kits at affordable lease fees and facilitate vegetable oil processors with real time insights on where to source the needed oil seeds.
We achieve this by setting IoT soil moisture sensors on farms to detect when the farm needs irrigation then link the farmer with the nearest portable solar irrigation kit.
We have an Uber – like business model where the farmer who needs to irrigate gets access to the nearest portable solar irrigation fee at an affordable fee.
