Trikka makes sustainable circular products from open universal parts. The parts are easy to make, multi-use and open.

What do you mean by “multi-use”? Think about LEGO bricks: The same brick works in a table, a house, a car, a rabbit, a tree and more – one after the other. And new use ideas are always being added, because we all invent with them. And todays builds provide the bricks for the ideas of tomorrow.

Why limit this to the world of toys? Trikka builds a catalog of products and parts. The same part works in a backpack, lamp, headphones, a belt and more. Creative reuse enabled.

The parts are open. Designers can use them to design new products. The catalog of products and parts grows. Through open innovation the system can grow more powerful over time.

Trikka encourages manufacturers to pick up Trikka designs, make and sell them. Customers can buy and hack Trikka products and engage local craftsmen in the production of it.

A project like this was difficult to start. Design the first products and parts, find a way to communicate everything, figure out the legal questions, define a strategy to grow it and more. But we did it! Version alpha is out! And we push hard to bring it to the next level.

We made 44 initial prototypes. And right now we are in the process of documenting them and bringing them to the page one by one. But we are open for collaboration already.
