Water harvesting makes farming a reality..
Long description
Designed a water pan in the foothills of Mua Hills. 5 million cubic liters of water as maximum capacity.
We are tapping a seasonal river, checking velocity, silt and garbage with a series of chambers.
We have a 12 acre avocado farm here and an acre of common horticultural products. Other crops are pixies, limes, passion fruits, tomato plant and macadamia.
Water sufficiency is our objective here as we strive to farm throughout a 3-year period with or without rains. The reservoir will also feed the waterbed and bless our efforts on the farm via a borehole.
Besides serving the farm, livestock and domestic needs, this project will help the local eco system and provide employment.
Twin projects by Kimm & Mary farms all done in 2022 to serve: Mua Hills and Joska locations respectably.
